The girl who escaped a war and conquered the world
Afghanistan → Pakistan → Denmark → The World
When Taliban violence shatters her family and claims her father, six-year-old Nadia flees Afghanistan with her mother, Hamida, and her sisters — a perilous journey across borders, refugee camps, smugglers and uncertainty.
Arriving in Denmark with nothing but hope, Nadia discovers football — a game that becomes her language, her freedom and her rebellion against destiny. Driven by her mother's unwavering courage, she rises from the refugee camps to the world stage, playing for some of the biggest clubs in world football and becoming a global symbol of resilience.
Defiant Nadia is an inspiring story of survival, motherhood, identity, and the extraordinary power of dreams that refuse to die. It is not just a football story — it is about mothers who never give up, and daughters who rise.
